The Ulverton Wool Mill is managed by the Corporation du Vieux Moulin d’Ulverton inc., a non-profit organization recognized and supported by the Québec Ministry of Culture and Communications. Its head office is located at 210 Chemin Porter, Ulverton, Quebec. The Ulverton Mill Museum, the wooded area and hiking trails, as well as all outbuildings, are private property accessible to visitors only during regular opening hours.

All visitors must check in at the gift shop to pay the site access fee.

General Guidelines:

By purchasing an access pass, visitors are deemed to be aware of the following rules and agree to comply with them.
When you purchase an access pass, you are helping to preserve an industrial heritage that the Ulverton Mill uniquely holds in all of North America. Access fees for the trails also contribute to their maintenance and development.

We thank you for your courteous cooperation and wish you a wonderful visit with us.

Regulations

  • All visitors must have an admission ticket.
  • Bulky items must be left in your car or at the museum entrance (backpacks, bags, umbrellas). Strollers are not allowed inside the museum.
  • Please avoid leaning on or touching the display cases, and do not attempt to touch the machines or any objects on display. Every item in the museum is a unique artifact, and the mission of the Ulverton Mill is to preserve their integrity.
  • Photography and filming are allowed inside the museum. However, if your shots include other people, including guides, please ensure you have their permission before filming or photographing them.
  • We kindly ask that you do not eat or drink inside the museum.
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please ensure that children do not touch the museum objects or run inside the exhibition rooms.

To ensure the comfort and safety of all visitors, we kindly ask that you refrain from smoking on the Mill grounds.
As you can understand, the Mill is a wooden structure. The risk of fire is extremely high and very real, and the potential damage would be irreversible.

Since we are in a historic and forested environment, we ask that you do not make any fires of any kind—propane, charcoal, briquettes, or gas. This rule applies even on the trails and in the picnic areas.

We kindly ask you to put your phone on silent and not to use radios, iPods, or any other music players without headphones.

Our canine friends are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash. Their owner must remain by their side at all times. Naturally, we ask pet owners to clean up after their four-legged companions and help keep the site clean.

However, dogs and other pets are not allowed inside the museum.

Many visitors walk the trails to recharge, take a break, or find respite from the city. Others enjoy birdwatching and listening to birdsong.

We thank you for adopting a respectful attitude toward the wildlife and vegetation in the woodland area.

The Ulverton Mill Park is an aquatic environment that changes with the weather. The Ulverton River, despite its modest size, has a strong current. We urge you to exercise extreme caution before venturing near or into the water. The Corporation du Vieux Moulin d’Ulverton, its employees, partners, and any persons associated with the Corporation cannot be held responsible for any incident of any kind. Outdoor activities carry certain risks. You must ensure that you have the necessary skills and abilities for the activity you choose.

It is very important to be aware of the risks inherent to this activity, to know and respect your limits, and to use proper equipment when required.

Your safety is your responsibility!

Anyone wishing to do photo shoots must request and obtain permission from the Operations Coordinator. The Corporation du Vieux Moulin d’Ulverton reserves the right to deny this permission or to interrupt any photo session if it disturbs other visitors.

Please note that nature photographers are welcome on site.
